Michael Boyer, MD

Attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he graduated Cum Laude prior to enrolling in the University of Washington School of Medicine. He received his M.D. at the University of Washington in 1973 and subsequently served in an internship in pediatrics at Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle. His residency in pediatrics was served with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and Children's Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Boyer also completed a Child Mental Health Fellowship. Dr. Boyer is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Christine Larson, MD

Attended the University of Illinois in Urbana and received a Bachelor of Science in Social Welfare in 1974. In 1980 she received her M.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. From 1980 to 1983 she took a pediatric residency at the University of Illinois, Saint Frances Medical Center in Peoria, and served as Chief Resident from January to June 1983. Following that she was in private practice and served as Associate Medical Director of the Pediatric Ambulatory Center at Saint Frances Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois from 1983 to 1985. From 1986 to 1987 she served as Staff Pediatrician in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. She is board-certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Barney Voegtlen, MD

Attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in Chemistry in 1972. He received his M.D. at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine in 1976 and went on to complete his Pediatric Internship and residency at Children's Hospital and Medical Center at the University of Cincinnati in 1979. He has been in private practice in Poulsbo since 1979. He is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of the North Kitsap School District Health Advisory Board, and the KPS Board of Directors.

Catherine Cogley, MD

Attended Baylor University in Waco Tx where she graduated with a degree in Biology in 1992. She went on to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and then began her service in the Air Force. After completing her pediatric residency in San Antonio at Wilford Hall Medical Center, she was stationed in Japan, England and Virginia before settling down in Kitsap County. She is board-certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Melody Bronold, MD

Attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical sciences. She remained in Ann Arbor and received her MD degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2000. Her pediatric internship and residency were completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was chosen to continue as Chief Resident for an additional year. She comes to us from Tennessee, where she was in Private Practice for three years. Dr. Bronold is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Leslie Brown, ARNP

Attended Seattle Pacific University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science. She attended Pacific Lutheran University, received her Master of Science in Nursing in 1998. While on active duty in the US Navy. She is currently Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserves. Her specialty is as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She joined Kitsap Children’s Clinic, LLP in 1999 and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Kathleen Tobin, ARNP

Attended Pacific Lutheran University where see graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Science in 1979. She completed her Pediatric Nurse Practioner Program and her Maters in Nursing in 2000. She spent 22 years as a Registered Nurse working for various hospitals in pediatric and emergency medicine. She is affiliated with the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Nursing. She started with Kitsap Children’s Clinic in 2001.

Elizabeth Blake, ARNP

Attended University of Minnesota and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Distinction, and a Minor in Child Development in 1987. She has worked in public health and school health. Several years were devoted to developing a series of booklets about children with special health needs for families and professionals for a state health department. In 1994 she received a Master of Nursing from College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. She has provided volunteer health care to children of Ecuador, Ukraine, and Jamaica. She is certified by ANCC as a Pediatric Nurse Practioner.

Lisa Ottenbacher, ARNP

Graduated with honors from Saint Olaf College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983. Attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning her Masters in Nursing in 1990 with a concentration as a nurse practitioner. Joined the Navy in 1983 and recently retired after 26 years of service. While on active duty with the Navy, deployed for disaster relief for Hurricane Katrina and for humanitarian medical assistance to Central and South America. Dual board certified as a Pediatric and Family Nurse Practitioner.
